Creating space for expression through design

For Pride Month, ByteDance needed a visual direction that could reflect the spirit of inclusivity across its internal community in Singapore. The challenge was to create something festive and expressive, while still feeling cohesive within a corporate environment.

The approach explored multiple visual directions rather than a single expression. From bold gradients and graphic compositions to character-driven illustrations, each variation was designed to capture different facets of Pride. The system allowed flexibility while maintaining a consistent tone, ensuring the visuals could feel personal, celebratory, and relevant across different touchpoints.

The result was a set of visuals that felt open, vibrant, and inclusive. Instead of a single statement, the work created space for different forms of expression, allowing the campaign to resonate across a diverse internal audience during Pride Month.
