Opening the conversation around multiple sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis remains widely misunderstood in Indonesia, with limited awareness and support systems. After gaining access to treatment locally, Jessy wanted to extend her journey beyond the book and reach new audiences. The challenge was not just visibility, but making a deeply personal experience accessible, relatable, and able to build understanding over time.
The approach was to translate the illustrated book into a living narrative. Characters were reimagined through animation, supported by clear visual language and voice direction that felt human and honest. Instead of retelling the book, the content expanded it through short-form stories designed for TikTok, with English and Chinese subtitles to reach a wider audience. Each piece was built to feel simple, emotional, and easy to engage with.
Within 11 weeks, the account reached 10,000 followers organically, with no paid media. More importantly, it created a space where people could learn, relate, and connect. What started as a personal story became an ongoing conversation, helping to build awareness and a growing community around multiple sclerosis.
